Each classroom is equipped with a Promethean Smart Board that is part of the district's i21 Technology to provide access to teachers and students to learn directly through the internet the most up to date information and curriculum being provided to our district and school. Each child has access to a device (at the lower grades a tablet and at the higher grades a laptop) where they may access the internet through a district server to access programs our site or district provides. Currently we are utilizing Raz-Kids reading, Achieve 3000 reading, and ST Math programs for students to use in class as well as access at home. These programs have been proven to provide research-based gains for students in reading and math
Our computer lab is currently equipped with laptop computers that is utlized most by our students who have limited access through their tablets (Grades K-2). The laptops provide more access to some programs and the internet for research overall. We are currently researching grants and other options to revitalize our computer lab with desktop computers and printers.
As all staff, parents and students become more technology aware, we vow to increase our technology uses in the classroom. We are 21st century learners at Cabrillo Elementary.
