Every Explorer, Every Day!
Cabrillo Elementary School is located in the Point Loma area of San Diego and serves students in several grade levels and programs including: Pre-school (PK3), UTK, K through 4th grade, as well as an Early Childhood Special Education Preschool program. Our diversity results from the many students coming from the Roseville and Point Loma neighborhoods, Liberty Station Military Housing as well as from outside our school boundaries and attending Cabrillo through the district's Choice Enrollment program. Our safe, collaborative and inclusive culture allows our Explorers to reach new levels of success. A range of support opportunities are available for all of our students to ensure each and every one of our Exceptional Explorers has equitable access to the best education, social-emotional, intellectual, embracing and encouraging the growth of each individual. As a Title I school, we receive funds and participate in a program that provides academic support and learning opportunities for students at schools with high percentages of socioeconomically disadvantaged children. The program helps us ensure that all students are achieving at the highest levels possible with the supports the deserve and require. The Cabrillo School Site Council (SSC), Point Loma Schools Cluster Foundation and parent volunteer group provides many opportunities for staff, parents, our Explorers and community members to have input into curricular matters and school issues.
